Our Privacy Policy
We do collect some data, but don’t worry… it’s not scary stuff.
Our website collects some personal information when you use it. This is mostly via cookies and through a web contact form that you might fill in.
We don’t sell you information to anyone else. We do use some plugins from third parties to add functionality to this website, such as Google’s analytics, WordPress login, Facebook and Twitter tools. These plugins independently process your information in line with their provicany processing terms. The information they collect and process is not directly processed by our site, and we do not collect this information.
Our privacy policy below details the types of information that might be processed while you are on our site, and what the purpose of that processing is.
We will publish any changes to our policy on this page. This was last updated in April 2019.
Our Personal Information Collection and Usage Policy
Cookies
We like cookies that you dunk in your tea, they hold together well with prolonged dunking (45 seconds so far) and have a good tea-to-cookie ratio afterwards. But we’re talking about a different type of cookie, one that your browser stores on your computer and may contain information that allows this website to identify you (not like “oh, hi bob, you’ve lost some weight” but like “hello random user, you were last here a week ago and left two comments“) If you want some more information on what cookies are, head over to this great article: http://www.bbc.co.uk/webwise/guides/about-cookies
We use cookies on this website to provide certain functions, and for providing access to third party tools. The website will mostly work if you choose to block these cookies, but it’s lots better with them there (a bit like having chocolate chip cookies compared to normal ones)
The information in the cookies is, where appropriate, anonymised before being collected.
If you really don’t want any cookies left on your computer, you can disable all the but most vital ones in our privacy notice tool. You might want to consider using a browser with ‘incognito mode’ or using the ‘clear history’ option after you leave the website if you really really don’t trust cookies, we’ll add some links to articles that might help you configure your browser below.
Contact Form
We have a contact form that will collect the information you enter into it along with your IP address when you click the submit button.
This is used only to allow tinsleyNET to contact you, if you request us to.
