Google goes sans-serif

Yesterday, the Google brand went through it’s biggest change since the colours were swapped about in 1999. The logo typeface has been changed from Catull to a new, clean looking sans-serif font with flat crisp colours.

The new (Android) material-like design will be used across the Google range, and incorporates a new Favicon, the use of coloured dots and animated elements.

The logo has changed a number of time since the launch of Google in 1999, including Google Doodles to celebrate various anniversaries and special days.
