Google are pushing secure internet (HTTPS) by giving HTTPS websites with valid encryption certificates better SEO ranking and adding a ‘Not Secure’ message to websites with an invalid or nonexistent certificate. So it’s time to check your website security, but getting a valid certificate could be easier than you think with free certificates available in certain circumstances.

GDPR: May 25th

The ICO have opened consultation on their Regulatory Action Policy which sets out how the organisation will deal with the organisations it regulats under various legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR or the Data Protection Bill as it will be in the UK once we leave Europe), the Freedom of Information Act and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR)
